At this time, Discount Hearth ships merchandise to the US and Canada. *Free shipping is within the continental United States only. Other locations will receive a reduced rate. We will not ship to APO/FPO address. Once your order is placed, our shipping department will contact you via e-mail in 1-2 business days for your approval of the additional shipping charges to your location.
Most Fire Tables, Fire Pits and Gas Log sets are shipped LTL freight (freight truck). Arctic Flame Glass is shipped using either UPS or FedEx Ground.
LTL freight is shipped “Curbside”. The driver is only responsible for delivering the order to your curb. A delivery appointment is scheduled by the freight company with you. No delivery will be made unless an appointment is set. Some deliveries require meeting the driver/truck at the end of a street or subdivision in situations where the truck cannot enter the area due to city ordinances, low level wires/trees or no turn-around access. Any additional services, such as two-man delivery, inside delivery, lift gate, or address change are not included in the price of the freighted item. The cost of these additional services varies from city to city. You may purchase these additional services directly from the freight carrier when delivery is scheduled.
Liability for Concealed Damage
Customer is responsible for tractor trailer access. If an item is shipped and returned because it is not deliverable due to an incorrect address, non-access or the customer refuses the shipment; the customer will be responsible for shipping fees both ways.
Customer will be responsible for checking shipment for any damage prior to signing for shipment. If packaging looks damaged at all, even the slightest, customer is responsible for noting it on the freight bill prior to signing for it. This is the only way a “concealed damage” claim can be made. Failure to sign a delivery receipt as damaged and/or with missing parts removes Discount Hearth and the delivering carrier from any liability. Discount Hearth’s policy is to replace parts free of charge whenever this situation occurs as long as the damage is noted on the delivery receipt at time of delivery. Discount Hearth will not be held liable for any freight damage. Freight damaged items cannot be returned for any reason after signed for.
Canceling an Order
We want to make sure you’re happy with your decision. You can cancel your recently placed order as long as it has not been processed y us; no questions asked. Most orders are processed within 4 business hours of being placed. Orders are not considered canceled until you have received a cancelation email from us. Please check your order over carefully prior to placing it, it is impossible to stop a shipment that already has been processed.
Occasionally, items may be backordered by the manufacturer. We will make every effort to either display this information on our website in real time. If your order has been placed we will notify you of the expected date and allow you to change your order to a different product or cancel it completely with no charges to you.
All Products carry an 100% Satisfaction Guarantee allows you to return any (non-custom or closeout) item within 30 days from date of shipment for a full refund of the purchase price (this does not include your original shipping fees or any return shipping fees.) There will be a 25% restocking fee to cover selling fess, inspections and repackaging. All items must meet the following:
- Product must be returned in its original packaging.
- Product must be new and in resalable condition.
- The original sales receipt must be attached to the inside lid of the packaging.
- Product CAN NOT have been installed or used.
- Product can’t have been purchased as a “Scratch & Dent”, "Hot Specials" sale item or a custom built gas burner or fire pits.
- Product can’t be freight damaged.
- Glass that has been mixed cannot be returned.
- Partial shipments of glass cannot be returned.
Customer must obtain a valid RMA before sending the return, please email us for an RMA.
If we shipped something incorrectly please notify us within 7 days to arrange a quick resolution. We will of course pay for all extra shipping charges. Please send us an e-mail with your order number and the details of the incorrect shipment.
